Suzan Hijink is a 26 year old illustrator, who lives in Arnhem in The Netherlands. She loves to work with tight deadlines on editorial illustrations for newspapers and magazines. And when she’s not drawing the news; she enjoys working on bigger projects, like murals, wallpaper designs, public artworks and illustrations for brands and companies.
Suzan maakt zowel redactioneel als vrij werk. Haar illustraties zijn realistisch met een surrealistische twist. Is het echt of niet? En geloof je wat je ziet? Met deze vragen daagt zij de kijker uit om dichterbij te komen.
Met een bolletje op haar hoofd en een laptop onder haar arm, reist zij elke ochtend met fiets naar haar studio in het Mode kwartier van Arnhem.
Haar illustraties zijn te vinden in de krant of magazines, maar ook op behang of in openbare kunstinstallaties. Trouw, de Nederlandsche Bank, het Zuiderzeemuseum, NLXL en het Filosofie Magazine zijn enkele bedrijven waar ze mee heeft samengewerkt.
